text on images

I'm a web developer of a website based on images. I'm having trouble with my text not showing properly in Photoshop. I've tried everything I can think of, but I can't seem to fix it.

Here's what's happening: I create a new document, add a text layer, and type in some text. The text appears on the layer, but it's invisible when I view the document. I can see the text in the layers panel, but it's not showing up on the canvas. <Link removed by Admin>

I've tried changing the font, the size, the color, the opacity, and the blending mode, but nothing seems to work. I've also tried restarting Photoshop, but that didn't help either.

I'm not sure what else to try. Can anyone help me figure out why my text is not showing properly in Photoshop?
