updating photoshop Beta causes bridge photoshop script to die

It's unbelievably annoying.

Bridge>tools> Photoshop missing after Beta update. Happened 3 times now, so its not a coincidence 
Workaround suggestion here

To uninstall and reinstall the non-beta app.
This is a hammer to crack an egg. If anyone has a better workaround please post here, and I will update the other thread.
