workspace resetting

every time I open PS the work space resets to the default, and the preferences I set also reset to the defaults

Hi @Bethanie30716046kfp8 try going to the Photoshop.exe shift+Right-click and choose "run as administrator" - does the same issue happen then? If not, your Windows account may not be an admin and have access to resource folders.
