Loading selection from one file to another

How do I load a selection from one file, and successfully have it added to another file?

You can't do that with Photoshop Camera where you posted.

Which Adobe application are you using?

In Photoshop for desktop, you can make a selection in one image and use the Move tool to drag and drop to the other. Go to Window > Arrange > Tile before you start and Window > Arrange > Consolidate to put the images back in tabs.
