When replacing a smart object, the content in linked layers does not change

Differences when modifying a smart object with the API and the desktop version of Photoshop
Changing a layer through the API does not change the linked layers.
I edit a layer with a name:
IMG HERE | right-click > edit contents

I've used two methods (Apply psd edits, Replace Smart Object), but I still can't insert the image inside the smart object so that all the linked layers are the same.
I attach a screenshot from the desktop version PS and a screenshot of the results of the API:
