Batch actions nop longer available after latest update

Hello !
After the lass update, I can't batch process anymore. My actions are still in the list, but neither can they be edited, nor applied or anything. The whole interface has changed, there are no longer checkboxes for any step saved within the action. Anyway, all the steps, except ofthe layer attribute seem to be lost. So no longer the things like "pixelize style, save, close"  - I cannot create any new action, it says "library cannot be edited".

This hits me in the middle of a bigger and longer project.

Actions are used by the Batch command, however, you appear to mention actions more than batch? Perhaps if you posted screenshots to illustrate it would be clearer.

Unfotunately  I can't make screenshots of the past version where all looked differentkly and worked. But I will make sme of the actual version and try to explain what used to work and what diesn't anymore. Both things do not work anymare: The cations AND the batch processing of said actions. First of all, because the actions seems to be now empty of all the steps it used to contain.
Will try to upload pics tonight

Sorry for all these typos. I can't edit the post, apparently.

I just realized that the photoshop installed on my laptop is a pre-update version - so I could make a screenshopt. Pic one is from said previous version: You can see my custum avtions with all steps embeded as an (editable) list.  I can batch process a series of iumages by just using this action.
Image 2 shows the new, post update version from my main desktop working PC. The list still contains my custom actions, but they are "empty".  clickling on the points just makes it execute one filter, but not the other steps, just as "close" and "save". So batch processing of course does not work either, because it just stucks at the first image.
Its not possible to edit these actions, it says "library cannot be edited. Also it is impossible to create a new action.
So with that new version I am screwed. - unless I'm working on the laptop.
I don't understand why it was necessary to ruin an usefull tool.

First of all: Please post meaningful screenshots instead of snippets that don’t even clarify whether you are actually working with Photoshop or Photoshop (Beta).

Secondly: If you should be working with Beta (in which case this would be the wrong Forum) you should consider just setting the Actions Panel to »Classic Actions«.

Edit: Photoshop kind of has a history of UI changes that some part of the user base (at the time of the release of the changed version) detest and therefore many of those are actually optional. How this will play out in the long run seems unclear to me, but for now one can still, for example, fall back on the »Legacy "new Document" Interface«, avoid the Home Screen, use the modal interface for Adjustment Layers, avoid the (in the context of print-related work) incorrect dark Color Themes, …
