Does anyone else have this problem, I am trying to burn an image in photosop and when I try and use the burn tool nothing happens, it shows up in my history but the image still looks the same.

Try resetting the options for the Burn tool. Right-click the Burn tool in the options bar (not Tools pane) and choose Reset Tool.
If you still need help, share a screenshot that includes your options bar and Layers panel.
