Apple Macbook pro 2021 M1, ventura 13.2.1

photoshop 24.0.0. and newest two updates

Cant chose existing mask by clicking in it, it appers selected exactly after cration but then if i move to layer or otherwhere i cant chose any mask of any layer. The only way is to select layer->properties->mask icon (there i can see the massage "no mask selected")->click to mask icon near the massage and thats it - i have selected mask. What goes wrong? how it could be fixed?

Hi

Not sure I understand your issue, can you post a screenshot of the Photoshop interface with all the pertinent panels opened to highlight the issue

Yes, it's difficult without a screenshot.

Just in case that's the issue, to select a mask, you need to highlight it. Click on the relevant thumbnail, not near the name, the chain link or anywhere else.
If you want to slect a layer, click on the layer thumbnail (on the left)and if you want to select a mask, click on the right thumbnail.

See the screenshot
