Channel Palette - not refreshing

PS 24.4.1 / OSX 12.6.3
there is a strange bug with the channels palette: if it is part of a palette layout then there is no refresh anymore.
If eg. the channels palette is in one layout together with the protocol palette, then there is no longer a refresh.
However, when the channel palette is floating on its own, it works as expected.
So when you change something in the layers palette, the change doesn't show up in the channels palette, it only shows up when I click on the RGB channel with the mouse.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
