layer mask issue

Whenever I want to paint over my image using a layer mask my cursor will stick to the side of the canvas. 

i can stil paint, but i will not see my cursor. So i have to paint blind, thats a hard thing to do. 

 

This problem has occured suddenly without any changes to my settings. 

 

Anyone with the same issue?
