Starting in Lightroom, open multiple photos as layers in Photoshop, and when I save, if I'm over the 2GB file size limit, it prompts me to save the file as a PSB. No problem, let's go... but at this point I'm first promted asking if I'd like to save it in the cloud. When I select to save it on my local drive, I need to navigate to the folder where my working files are. Clearly not the end of the world, but it's an unneccessary step. I'm almost certain this worked differently a few versions back, and the current folder was the default save location.
Note also, even if I'm prompted to save as a PSB instead of PSD, but instead flatten the file to make it smaller so I can save as a PSD instead, by then the save location has already defaulted back to making me select the folder rather than just saving in the folder where I started the LR-PS round trip.
