Hello everybody,

I recently installed a free trial version of Photoshop, and I have a Object selection tool in my toolbar, but no Magic wand and Quick selection tools present. Still, when I go in Edit -> toolbar, they are there under the letter W, but I do not have them in a side toolbar. I have tried resseting to default toolbar and the issue remains. I can only say that this is because this is the free trial version, but I'm not sure. Any help? I have attached a few screenshots for better understanding.

Thanks.

Left click and hold on the icons in the tools panel to see the flyout menus for additional nested in the same spot.

The icons with the little triangle to the right of the icon have additional tools in the same slot.

To activate some tool or to cycle through grouped tools you can use and shortcut like letter W on your keyboard or Shift + W. Every tool or group of tools have different shortcut assigned what can be changed from Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts > Tools.

Thank you Jeff, it seems also that when first installing Photoshop which preferences you choose has to do with it. I reinstalled photoshop but with different preferences, for edit photos, and I have the submenus as you say, I didn't have them when I clicked on that little arrow in the previou installation. It is all working properly now.
