P: After text transform, text panel became buggy

Steps to replicate:

- Create some text
- Transform it
- Change character tracking
(now is showing a incorrect value )

- If you introduce a value like -400, Photoshop gives you an error panel several times.
- If you create a new text, the font size is reduced drastically.

You can see a video here:

My question:
This is gonna be like the other bug I post 10 months ago about the PS CS6 text engine?
Are we going to wait until CC2 to see this solved?

I applied several times to enter the Photoshop Prerelease Program, but nothing. I would like to help you with this kind of bugs. This things make me work slowly.

Did you really test your products with real designers?

This one should be fixed in Photoshop CC (14.1) or later.

This bug was also introduced in CS6 in its last update (13.0.5 for me)

This is a part of a series of related text bugs introduced with a CS6 update released two weeks ago.

I reported the bug hours after the update was out, here:

http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh...

Two weeks later, no reaction whatsoever.

Also if you see the link to the other bug, you'll see the bug affects not only tracking, but basically most font panel properties (line spacing, paragraph spacing, tracking, kerning etc.)

Hi Stan, Charles

I know all these bugs, I have my own ticket waiting replay:
http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh...

But that was CS6, and now in CC some are solved but text is still buggy. I spent a lot of time dealing with this bugs and hours in angry mode.

I want to do some type of pressure now, we can not deal with these kind of bugs any more, Adobe is a big company and these king of "know" bugs should be solved before release a final version.

Actually I'm very angry about this, and because my type of work, there aren't a Photoshop alternative, I want a software work properly.

A lot of text bugginess got into CS6. One was a vicious data corruption bug that would replace text layers with other text layers in a file. Once a document "caught" this bug, it was hosed.
There has always been weirdness in CS6 relating to Transform of type and the Character Panel. I agree in a program of this price, that is the industry standard for image editing, text issues should have been corrected by the next version (i.e., CC).
But instead, looks like a step backwards.
