P: Can't render fibers within selection on a layer

If I make a selection on a layer and then try to use the Render Fibers filter, the rendering gets hung up and nothing happens. Without a selection the rendering works fine.

Ah, this happens if you make a selection on a layer. A selection on the background works.

Escape or Command-Period still works to stop it.

Hello , I have encountered the same problem . You should eliminate the 1.2 update or adobe is doing out a new update that includes the correction of this error ?
