Hi,

When I start to have multiple layers on a file Photoshop crashes when adding adjustment layer of making a free hand selection with lasso tool.

I tried all the workaround suggested on the help page, what can do now ?

Thanks for the help.

Thanks. I have some crash logs now. Not seeing an existing issue around your issue. Checking with engineering.

I'm not seeing any submitted crash reports from you in our system.

If you haven't done so already, please submit all Crash Reports along with your email address: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/submit-crash-reports.html

Hi @J453 Have you been able to find the crash reports ? I downloaded the previous version of photoshop 22.5.2 and I get the same crash when trying to add an adjustment layer. Thanks for your help.

Hi Elias,

Have you updated to 23.0.1? Are you still seeing this issue? The engineers determined an old flag for compositing was causing this issue. If you're still seeing the issue - I have a couple of things I'd like you to try.

Hi Jeffrey,

Yes I did the 23.0.1 update and still have the issue.

Actually the issue doesnt happen at the beginning of new files but after a moment when the file start to have couple of layers.

Anyway yes if you have some ideas I could try I would be very grateful, I'm a pro user and my workflow is a real nightmare now .

Thank you !

The engineers think it's something in your preferences folder. Try restoring your preferences using this manual method:
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually
If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back. If it does solve it, I'd like a copy of your preferences folder.
