P: CS6/CC Menus blank (white) Mavericks Mac OS X 10.9

Hello, I hope I am in the right place for this:

I am on a Mac 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7, with 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3. I just installed OS Mavericks. I am running Photoshop CS6.

Randomly throughout using the program, my windows/palettes (i.e. the layers palette) will become white. Even the "Save" window menu will become white. It's still functional (if I press enter on the save menu, it will save), but I can't see any of the options. I've uninstalled the program and reinstalled. This has unfortunately not solved the problem. Please help

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?

I would try first restoring your system preferences. If that doesn't work, try running for a new Admin user account:

First, you need to go install the Photoshop CS6 updates. You're on 13.0.0...

But the screenshots look a lot like a video driver or OS graphics issue.
We're still investigating, and trying to reproduce the problem.

After updating to OS X 10.9, a problem occurred 3 times today while working in Photoshop (CC): All of a sudden all Menues (file, edit etc) were just whitened out, so no menu point was visible. Same when I tried to quit PS: PS asks me if the opened file should be saved - this window is also just white, nothing to read or klick on.
I had to kill PS in the activity monitor. When I opened PS again, the last file I worked on was still opened as "restored".

Since updating to Mac OS Maverick I get a major problem with Photoshop CC. It works fine for about 10mins, then the menus white out. I have to restart to make it useful. Yes and I've installed the latest driver 6.3.7-3

I've noticed that my regular Intuos 3 is no longer recognized by Mavericks and also that my system preferences for my wacom are not accessible (I get an error message: Could not load Wacom Tablet preference pane.)

I realize this is not a Photoshop issue of course, but I thought it may help with the diagnosis.

Hmm. The customer on twitter reports getting the latest wacom driver has corrected this issue for him.

I have reinstalled the wacom driver as suggested. I can now access my wacom preferences under system prefs. Also, my intuos 3 is finally showing up and working correctly, as well.

I will keep you posted on whether or not this fixes the blank menu bug.

Updating my tablet driver (intuos 4) seems to have done the trick! I've been working for about 7 hours without any issues. Thanks a lot, Jeffrey!

I know it may be too soon to report a success, however, yesterday I had no 'blank menu issues' at all.

I worked in Photoshop for 10 hours.

About a week ago I had installed the 6.3.7-3 (10.6x - 10.9x) driver on my computer. This was in response to the blank menu problems I was having, but had no success.

1. I still incurred the blank menus

2. I was unable to access my wacom preferences inside system prefs (?)

3. My computer would no longer recognize my older Intuos 3 tablet

Yesterday morning, I had resinstalled the exact same driver 6.3.7-3 (10.6x - 10.9x) and the problem did not occur for 10 hours. I was also able to access my wacom preferences and my computer recognized my Intuos 3 tablet.

I will update as I go on my progress, since I know how much of a major hinderance this problem can be.

I have CS6 and since upgrading to OS X Mavericks, Photoshop is buggy. After using it for a few minutes, all the drop down menus go blank - they're just white. I have to save, close and re-open Photoshop every few minutes. ??

I've noticed with a couple of customers that even if they have the most current driver, removing and reinstalling the driver, or installing the driver via a new Admin user account and running from the Admin user account has been necessary.

Photoshop CC on intel Xeon Mac OS 10.9. Inside of Photoshop, expandable drop-down menus appear blank. For instance, clicking "File" expands a solid white drop down tab with no visible menu items. This happens randomly, and I'm forced to quit photoshop by using the apple finder.

UPDATE: I installed the latest Wacom Driver for my Intuos 4 tablet, and I am still having this problem. Because this specific tablet is a slightly older model, I believe the latest driver update was released before OS X Mavericks.

On a different note, I've found Photoshop CC to be much less stable than CS6. I noticed this before upgrading my Apple OS from Mountain Lion to Mavericks. The biggest problem, which I hope they sort out is the file saving issue: Sometimes you save a file and close it, only to realize that photoshop never actually saved it, even though it says otherwise in the "date modified" info tab. I've lost hours of work multiple times. For this specific reason, I switched back to CS6, but I've found that to be buggy also now that I'm using Mavericks.

I freelance for a few retouching studios in NYC and everyone is currently annoyed / paranoid about these issues. It's costing us lots of money.

Since my update to Mavericks, photoshop has had problems with the selection tools not recognizing mouse clicks. Also, menus will be blank after a while of working in Photoshop and the only way I've found to fix it is to restart PS. The problem with that is that the only way to save things is to use shortcut keys because the pop ups are unreadable, being that they are blank...

Alright friends. I have had no further problems with the blank menus popping up.

I am however, still having problems with the driver being recognized by Mavericks and have had to install the latest wacom driver upon every boot up session.

This is really taking it's toll on me. Problem after problem. I am very frustrated.

On Mavericks, there is general Open/Save problem if Coverflow is enabled: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/f... Seems to be general problem since iTunes and Safari have the same issue.
