Photoshop 13.0.4 x64: How can I get rid of the "Could not complete your request because of a program error" alerts?

I am running Photoshop CS6 13.0.4 x64 on Mac OS X 10.8.2, and it presents these "Could not complete your request because of a program error" alert messages that stop my work cold. The message appears once upon launch, but more annoyingly it appears upon trying to open a file and trying to create a new file.

Some application install or process apparently set the immutable flag on my ~/Library folder. Unlocking the folder solved the problem.

A more informative error or Console message would have helped.

Problem solved. New problem: How can I mark the question as answered?

Can you post the last 50 lines or so of PSErrorLog.txt from your Photoshop preferences folder?

If you're hitting program errors, then PSErrorLog.txt should be in there (it's created and appended for every program error).

My only guess then would be that you're hitting an OS exception for some reason.

And we'll have to add some error messages for that specific case (something that should never happen anyway).
