P: CS6: "Copy Shape Attributes" doesn't get recorded when recording an Action

When recording an action, "Copy Shape Attributes" does not get recorded. Doesn't seem to work for Copy Fill from the gear menu in the shape tool color picker either.

Create a new action and start recording.
Right click on shape layer in layer palette and choose "Copy Layer Style". Note that it gets added to the action.
Right click on the same shape layer and choose "Copy Shape Attributes. Note that it does NOT get added to the action.

Well, obviously I would like it to be recordable. And if "Copy Layer Style" is it seems like "Copy Shape Attributes" should be.

I was trying to make actions to copy & paste both the layer style and shape attributes at once. Would save a lot of clicking.

We do have a bug logged for this, and I agree that Copy/Paste Shape Attributes should be actionable.

I've run into this as well. I'd really, really, really love to be able to use Copy Shape Attributes and Paste Shape Attributes in actions and scripts.

Layer Styles copies and pastes layer styles.
Shape attributes just copies and pastes the vector shape attributes.

They're copying and pasting 2 unrelated things -- so the difference is infinite.

I think it's just Stroke and Fill - the stuff you see in the options bar when, e.g., drawing rectangle shapes.

This is a great idea that's separate from the issue on this thread, so I created a new conversation to continue the discussion.
