P: Double tapping Apple Pencil 2 to switch to eraser on iPad

There's been a couple posts about this already, but it's been a while, and I'm not sure if there's an answer now.

When I'm using Photoshop on my iPad with my Apple Pencil 2, I want to be able to switch between the brush and eraser by double-tapping the pencil, like I can do in other apps such as Procreate. Instead, it zooms in or out.

In my iPad settings for the pencil itself, I have "switch between current tool and eraser" selected under "double tap". In the app, I can only turn double tap on or off, not specify what the tapping does, despite this help page implying that I should be able specify what action double tapping does.

Surely this has been implemented by now? It makes no sense that it wouldn't be. Am I missing something?

As near as I can tell, you are not missing anything. My iPad settings are also set to switch between the current tool and the eraser for double tap, and Photoshop for iPad is not honoring that setting. I have hit the Upvote button (upper right).
