I've tried looking online for solutions but nothing has helped. After clicking on "Filter Gallery" the error states,
"The end of data was reached while reading from a container."
I just finished restarting my computer, reinstalling photoshop, and even updated my iMac. The error appears in every file I open
Here are my specs,
iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019)
3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5
8 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
Radeon Pro 570X 4 GB

I am getting the same error. I was running a set of batched actions that included the filter gallery action. After about 80 files processed, my Windows 10 machine blue-screened. Now whenever I try to manually (or via batch) open the "filter gallery", I get the "The end of data was reached while reading from a container" message. I have uninstalled & reinstalled Photoshop, still getting the error.
1. Quit Photoshop.
2. Navigate to ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop 2023 Settings/Filter Gallery Prefs.psp and delete Filter Gallery Prefs.psp
Start Photoshop. Does the error go away?
You may need to use this method to see the hidden user library directory: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-files.html
And for good measure, try deleting both the "Effect Prefs.psp" and "Filter Gallery Prefs.psp" files found in that preferences directory.

Note that you'll need to substitute the correct year for your particular version of Photoshop in the above file path.
