P: Layer "disappearing" when dragged at certain zoom levels

I have been experiencing a bug where if the document is zoomed smaller then 64% (yes I have tested this), and I drag a layer WITH an active layer style, the layer disappears.

Toggeling the visability, nudging the layer with the arrow keys or toggeling any layer style will result in the layer returning to visibility.

Again it only happens when the document is zoomed <64%, and the layer has a layer style aplied.

Same here, every time they update their products some idiotic problem like this came up. Always. When I'm trying to drag or re-scale any smart object or a type, styling, appeareance or effects or the entire layer disappears.

Go to preferences > Technology Previews... and check "Disable Native Canvas" - then restart Photoshop. Does the problem still occur?

If we disable the GPU altogether, does the issue persist? Go to Preferences > Performance... and uncheck Use Graphics Processor. Restart Photoshop.

Same problem I had with Photoshop 2021 continues into 2022. I have been using 2020 on my iMac for a year and continue to use it. When I move layers around the canvas the layer disappears. To make it reappear I zoom in and out. Sometimes that makes layer reappear depends on the zoom level. This does not happen on my Macbook. Both are running Big Sur. iMac is late 2015

3.3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5

32 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

AMD Radeon R9 M395 2 GB

If anyone hears anything new on this issue please let me know.

Have you tried going to Preferences/Technology Previews and Deactivating Native Canvas?

Next to completly obliterating performance it unfortunatly does not fix the issue.

Editing comment because I believe we have the issue tracked/logged.

If one Sets the Drop Shadow Spread to less than 100 it doesn't produce the artifacts, if it is at 100 it does... is this what you see?

I still think this is valuable, did not mean to edit this out...

In Photoshop, select Help > System Info.

I tried deactivating the Native canvas and that didnt work. However I just noticed it only happens when I move a layer with drop shadow applied.

If Im understanding correctly, I had the same issue for the longest time. And apparently you need to uncheck "Enable Flick Panning". I dont recall having the issue since, and it's been a couple weeks. Hope it works!

I unchecked EnableFlick Panning. That did not solve the problem. Its definitly only happens when I have a layer styple applied to layer like a drop shadow. Once I add drop shadow I cant move it. However a small workaround Ive been using is to apply dropshadow then I convert to smart object so the drop shadow is embedded. Then I am able to move the layer around wthout it disappearing. Its definintely a glitch that may only effect a small group of people so Adobe will probably never fix it. Its been over a year and two version upgrades and still I cant add layer style and move layers. I probably will have to deal with it as long as I have this iMac. My newer Macbook doesnt have this issue.

I have an updated version of Photoshop, Ive tried everything listed below and when I try to resize the picture which has a 2nd layer, and when doing so the picture completly disapears. Now I am very new to photoshop so I am probably doing everything wrong but I am following a video to the T that someone made for me and even that person is not sure why I am having this issue. Ive tried to zoom in zoom out, make sure im fully updated and it will not let me resize the image (layer 1) without it disapearing. Anyone have any tips or help?
