P: Photoshop 26.8 & later: Gradient style menu in Shape Stroke Properites not scaled correctly

This is what the gradient style selector looks like when a gradient is applied to a shape layer's stroke. It appears very wide and with options overlapping each other vertically. The same selector for gradients on a shape's fill appears normal. This also appears this way when it's accessed through the control bar when the Shape tool is selected.

This is on Photoshop 26.8.0 on Windows.

Thanks for reconfirming this. I also see this cosmetic flaw. I've let the team know about this behavior.

Best,

Hi @Wabber_HM, Thanks for reaching out to the Photoshop Community Forums! Let's try to figure this out by testing out a few things:

1. Resetting Photoshop Preferences: Meanwhile, you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps mentioned here:  https://adobe.ly/4jmvs7u. Please back up your settings before resetting the preferences. You can check:  https://adobe.ly/3YW1WOu

2. Adjust UI scaling: Under Preferences > Interface, see if it affects the dropdown rendering.

3. Test different display scaling settings: In Windows (e.g., 100%, 125%), check if the issue is resolution-related.

Let me know if none of these work, and we can continue troubleshooting the issue. I hope this helps! ^CH

Hello. Sorry for the super-late follow-up, but I finally got to test this out some more. On two other computers and different screen resolutions, this continued to be a problem. I also tried it on a display with scaling enabled and the same issue persists.

Hey, @Wabber_HM. Please update to the latest version of Photoshop via the Creative Cloud desktop app, and this should be fixed.

Thanks!

Hi.

This has not been resolved in the current version of Photosohp (26.10.0 20250811.r.7 595d3a6).

The example above seems to depict the Fill's gradient selector. It's the Stroke's gradient selector that's still really wide and stacking on top of each other.
