P: Photoshop 27.0 Select Subject features not working through Actions

I had an action that included select all people but it doesn't work in the action in version 27.0.0. Tried to re-record again to no avail.  Just spinning wheel. No problem with selecting people out of the action. Anyone else have this? Windows 11 up to date.

Playing an action that selects a person now hangs in v27.0 ,same bug as in Photoshop Beta that has been reported for some time.

• Does the issue occur with all images or only specific ones?

runing a Recorded action for select object - all people - face etc in V 27 / new beta 

to record a action for select people using ( Object selection Tools ) all people , then example choose face . 
the action halt nothing hapen for very long time and until we force close the app. 

without using recorded actions there is no problem. 
so i have to rill back to old version  26.11.1

Actions are a custom workflow; it'll help if you export and share the action file so we can test this. As @Aleke requested above, a video of what you see can also help. 

Also, in Photoshop's Preferences > check if Select Subject and Background Remove are set to Cloud or Local.

1. Go to Preferences -> Image Processing, Select "Device" in Select Subject mode

2. Start recording actions

3. Go to Select - Select Subject

4. Play recordered action

When running the command "select a subject" on a device, the command always executes almost instantly. However, when attempting to execute the same command from a recorded action, the operation status window can hang for up to a minute (and as soon as we click on the workspace, the command executes instantly). Switching the processing mode from "faster" to "more stable" has no effect.

It appears as if the selection is occurring faster than the window opens, and the action doesn't receive a callback indicating the operation's successful completion.

After doing the Beta update last month, I was unable to use my personal actions that I created; it brings up the spinning circle of "force quit".

Updating to PS 2026 it's doing the same thing. The additional problem is that I recreated the action in the new 2026 PS, but when I click on it to play it still brings up the spinning circle of "force quit."

I can second this for at least 1 personal action. This one utlizes the AI "select people" feature isolating body parts created in version 2025. I could batch it on an any number of images. It's not working in latest beta or Official release 2026, it never even opens the first image before spinning wheel of death. I even re-wrote it in 2026 and it has the same problem when batching it.

My only solution at moment is to install the legacy 2025 and it's running fine on that as I type this.

Thank you, A Dee! The first step in my action is "select people" so that makes sense. I guess I'm not familiar with legacy 2025, what is that?
