Sometimes photoshop crashes after enabling/disabling layer styles
I have some layers styles such as inner glow, outer glow, stroke and I keep editing those and after a while it crashes.

I have this issue over a month.
Windows 10 up to date.
Adobe automatically updates as well so I have the latest version.
Updated display driver.
I dont have performance issues on my PC and only Photoshop has issues.
Thank you.

This issue should be fixed in Photoshop 22. Let us know if you're still having an issue.

Hi Olga, If you haven't done so already, please submit all Crash Reports along with your email address: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/submit-crash-reports.html

I'm not seeing any crash reports with your email address, yet.

I did send crash reports several times. Next time I'll check if it has my email in it.
Thank you for the reply. I'll update when I fill the next crash report.

I had the same issue and I did send the crash report, together with my email.
I also mentioned the problem in a similar thread a while ago:
https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/layers-panel-problem-with-21-1-2-using-wacom-...

The fix (for me) was to disable Windows Ink.
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/tablet-support-faq-photoshop.html
(UseSystemStylus -> 0)

But with that I lost the ability to pan with the spacebar shortcut while selecting with the lazo tool (which worked in previous versions, of course)

Which, by the way, doesn't seem to be a problem for Adobe given the outcome of the following post (->SOLVED):
https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/problems-with-actions-and-lasso-tool

I am also having this issue on the latest version (21.2), except instead of it crashing Photoshop some of the time, it was literally crashing every time layer styles were disabled. I tried this on two of my machines and it was consistently crashing after I did the following:
  1. Make a new document
  2. Group the first blank layer
  3. Double-click the group to open the Layer Styles
  4. Then toggle any layer style checkbox and Photoshop would instantly crash
I tried this on my other machine that still had the major version prior to 21 and it didn't happen. Then I updated it to 21.2 and tried the same thing and it crashed. Then I looked at the settings and it stopped happening, so I don't know what caused it in the first place. The only thing that seems certain is just looking at the Preferences seems to have fixed the issue.

I also have this problem several times while using layer effects (mostly when turning on/off or using the settings slider function)!
