P: Photoshop Crashes when using move tool

I have the most updated version of Photoshop (24.4.1) and have made sure my Mac is updated in terms of software (MacOSVentura 13.3.1 (a)) but whenever I try to select work on an entire artboard, my Photoshop crashes. I have tried to do all the fixes, but nothing has worked for me. I can edit certain things, but I am trying to resize the canvas, so I need to grab everything currently on the art board and make it fit.

If that does not resolve, go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.

Hi @Amanda2970293581i0 two things -

1. Your AMD is not registering properly so I can't tell how old your drivers are. Make sure they are updated.

2. You have two GPUs one underpowered (Intel) and your main one (AMD). Photoshop can have conflicts with the two.  Here’s how to resolve: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html#multiple-gpus

If you tried resetting preferences, uncheck Multithreaded Compositing - (and restart Photoshop) and unchecked "GPU Compositing" -  (and then restart Photoshop) and it is still crashing, this is the next step. 

Try logging into another Mac user account (you should make a new one); still crashing? 
Try starting up in Safe mode (hold down Shift Key when booting*), still crashing? 
You might want to try running a free utility like Onyx: still crashing?

On your Mac, choose Apple menu () > Shut Down.
After your Mac shuts down, wait 10 seconds.
Press and hold the power button until the startup disks and Options appear.
Press and hold the Shift key, then click Continue in Safe Mode.

Try fixing permissions by running Disk Utility (Disk First Aid) or, again, using Onyx.

How do I make sure the graphics cards are updated, I have tried to follow the Mac directions but they haven't fixed anything?

It opened and seemed to work in safe mode it really lagged. Is there a way to know how to get it to work normally and not just in safe mode?

So here's the tricky part. Since it doesn't crash in Safe mode, there is a conflict with something in the original (Admin?) user that is making it crash. The hard part is figuring out what that is. The first task is to disable all auto log-in items in Users and Groups>Login Items in your System preferences (System Settings in Ventura). You can make a screen capture or jot down what each item is, disable, restart, and try again. If it doesn't crash, you can add one or more items, restart and try again. At some point, you may find which item is at issue. It isn't easy, but that's really the fix unless you do a clean install of the OS, which might be more work. 

The bottom line is that something in your user account conflicts with the Adobe software. Have to find out what that item is.

ok narrowing it down to the text issue is helpful. Lets start with clearing the font caches.

• Quit Photoshop and the Creative Cloud desktop app

• Navigate to: /Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop

• Delete the CT Font Cache  and FontFeatureCache folder and empty the Trash

@Kevin Stohlmeyer Did that and restarted my computer. Looks like I can get it to edit texts now! Ill do that on my other user profile too and see if that solves the problem!
