Hi

Try enabling this option in preferences and restarting Photoshop to see if it helps

When opening documents in the newest version of Photoshop (22.5 as of this writing) documents open with Home menu still in background. Zooming document causes infinite mirror effect. (Please see picture below)

Having same exact issue, along with the home menu being in the background after opening document. I posted another thread about this around same time as you.

I'm not able to repro.

If you restore your preferences using this manual method does it work correctly?

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually

If not, it may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Thx guys! Very nice to know I am not alone in this frustrating issue!

Jeffrey - I tried to restore preferences as you suggested but still having same issue so, I am trying to copy-paste my system info but it doesn't allow more than 30000 characters. Could you please let me know which part of the system info do you need so I can juts copy-paste that segment and not the whole thing?

Thanks again!

Try this: Deactivate Native Canvas under Preferences > Tech Preview.

Restart Photoshop.

Updating to Big Sur should also fix this. (It has updated drivers that 10.15 won't get)

Hello Adobe,

I would like to report a BUG issue from your recent new 22.5 Photoshop update. I just updated to the newest photoshop update and now I am having this strange pixelated boarder that will not go away. It is very distracting and can be very glitchy. At first I thought it was storage issue or even a graphics card issue, looked into it on my MacBook Pro no problems with storage, I did trouble shooting, also uninstalled and reinstalled the program and I still have the same issue. Can you please look into this problem Thank you.

Has anyone seen these oodd, highly-pixelated diagonal lines on their PS canvas? Please see the attached image? Is this a new "feature"? Or could be an issue with the video card? ... although PS is the only app where I see these lines (My system: AMD Radeon Pro 5500 XT 8 GB / 2020 5K iMAc, 3.6 GHz 10-Core Intel Core i972 GB 2133 MHz DDR4)diagonal lines.jpg

I have the exact same system as you do and I am seeing the exact same artifacts on screen. Disabling GPU acceleration was the only thing that resolved this for me. I suspect an issue with the interaction between Photoshop and the graphics drivers for the 5500XT.

I have rolled back to the previous Photoshop version until Adobe issues a fix for this.

The workaround offered in the other thread worked for me.

Preferences > Technology Previews > Deactivate Native Canvas (checked)

Then restart Photoshop and tell me if you still see the diagonal lines.
