P: Photoshop on iPad keeps crashing after new update

I have been trying to work on a keyframe painting this evening on Photoshop for my iPad, but I cannot because after this new update, of which I was given no warning, Photoshop continues to crash and won't save any progress I have made. It has crashed three times so far and I have not been given the option of the crash report dialog box after any of them. Please answer urgently, my employment literally depends on this device.

Trying to provide as much detail as possible, this has been our top priority for the past few days. We're submitting the fix to Apple to push out, but the App Store approval process is outside of our control. We expect the update to be available within a few days. I'll let you know when I have a more exact date.

Can you confirm adobe sent it out and all we're waiting on is for Apple to approve at this point? My other question is if Adobe will be able to compensate those affected by this issue in some way to offset the downtime...

The update was approved by the App Store and we have released it, please update! We got it out as quickly as possible within the confines of the App Store review and approval process, which we don't have any control over.

Can you confirm the version number and build? I uninstalled/reinstalled and I'm still getting the same problem... but it looks like the app store is still pulling version 5.0.1

the fixed version is 5.1, it may take some time to propogate 

 

EDIT: Update, it appears I was mistakenly told by the release people that the build was released, it is still with Apple. I'm really sorry. We are working with Apple to ask them to expedite for approval today.

I am now able to get it to work sometimes, but crashes are still prevelant while using the eyedropper tool and lag time is 5-10 seconds many times before the color is updated. The eyedropper selection is also off of the site where I select with the apple pencil.

An update,  App is still crashing... adobe has acknowledged a bug (PS-119018) and said it may or may not be prioritized in the next update.  It appears most for me while working on larger canvas, and happens within ~5 seconds of selecting and using the eyedropper tool.  I'm now using the new swatch tool as a work-around but still having intermitant crashes.  Hopefully a fix can be implemented soon.  Is anyone else having this problem still?
