Hi, since the last update 4 days ago. When clicking Photoshop->Setting the menu is blank.

I need to change my settings. Anyone else have the same problem?

I have done all the usual rebooting, checking for updates ect.

MacOS, MacBook Pro, 16GB memory ect...

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks. We can repro with macOS 13.1 Beta. We'll work with Apple to investigate this.

V24.0.1 Bug on MAC M1 Pro

CMD K loads the preferences dialogue box, BUT the menu item is empty in the main tool bar. See the attached image.

I have reset the preferences by deleting them but the bug is persistent šŸ˜ž

Any help please?

VERY odd; there is no such menu option on my (latest) version of PS, running on Mac. And there shouldn't be.

Command K opens the actual preferences.

Try uninstalling then reinstalling Photoshop using Adobe Creative Cloud and when asked, do not keep preferences. Better?

Hi @TheDigitalDog

I uninstalled and reinstalled and it's still the same, no matter what I do.

I wonder if something has changed in OS 13.1 beta 3 that is causing this issue?

OS 13.1 beta 3? Well, that's no good! NO beta OSs are supported. I'm on 13.0.1; no issue as shown.

Either roll back to an existing supported OS or live with a bug between a nonsupported OS.

@TheDigitalDog I only realised that might be an issue when I checked the OS version, I will try tomorrow on a none beta Mac

Try resetting your preferences:

Hold Shift+Ctrl+Cmd+Opt when launching PS (hold before launching and until the pop up asking to reset appears)

Hi @darreng30895212, as @TheDigitalDog sharred in the link above, it might be that you are using Mac OS beta and not a release version?  Please confirm what OS version you see this issue.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Thank you,

Cory

@J453  Thank you, I reported it to Apple as well via feedback assistant, hopefully this can be addressed prior to 13.1 release šŸ‘

@J453  FYI the bug still exists in 13.1 Beta 4 which I expect to be a RC next week.

Issue

  • Photoshop version: 24.0.1
  • OS: MacOS Ventura 13.1 (22C5059b)

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Launch 'Photoshop'
  2. Click 'Photoshop' in menu bar
  3. Click/Hover over  'Settings'

Expected result: Actually being able to see and click to change settings
Actual result: Blank Pop out window [See screenshot]

I have reinstalled the app twice and trashed the prefs the second time. I kinda need to change some settings its pretty important.

This is a known Ventura bug. The team is working with Apple to address.
