Hi all,
We are happy to announce the release of Photoshop version 25.2, which incorporates the resolution for this particular problem. To see the list of all fixed issues, click here
Simply a tip...Going back from 24.5 to 24.6 the Generative Fill was not working this time, because of Organization problems..., despite the fact that there was no adjustment of my PC design. It was settled by permitting the Photoshop Beta (24.6) through Firewall.
I don't think that's the issue here , because the firewall are mainly involved with networking issues when you need to connect online for a feature to works . That means feature like neural filters , generative AI , they will require PS to be allowed in firewall setting to work .
In my case , neural filters and generative AI function works in the latest version , only remove tools are not working . AFAIK remove tools do not need to connect online to work .
Photoshop ( non beta ) 24.6 is up , just updated to it and disappointed to see remove tool is still giving me the same error .
Tested it on 3 different PC , a laptop and an office PC . None of it working , so I really don't think the issue is on my side . Only the beta 24.5 ver is working for now .
Same for me. The Remove Tool still doesn't work on the latest stable release (24.6). Unfortunately, I don't have much hope of it getting resolved anymore.
I have experienced the same issue. I have used the remove tool several times, sometimes without any problems and other times where I continually receive the error message.
Launch BETA Photoshop While Pressing The Keyboard Shortcut
With Photoshop closed, press and hold Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and then Launch Photoshop the way you normally would.
Losing hope here, too, but I figure it's time to reach out to support, if only so they know there are plenty of us out here. Or I'd be okay with not paying as much because they're not giving me a working program, but we know that's not going to happen!
Hi, for that particular image i used the latest version of Photoshop 24.6 but I know it's also happening with the lates Photoshop Beta. I'm using a macbook pro.
Spent over an hour with someone on support who tried various fixes to no avail. My PC then crashed and I lost the chat connection. Reconeccted and asked if this problem could be escalated to be told that it can't until other options are tried! The only other thing to try would be a complete re-installation of windows.
I did has you said and it's still not working not even with Photoshop's default preferences, it might be a bug...I'm going to re-install the previous version and see what happens and I'll let you know what happens
To: gthull644 I don't think it's the Windows that causes the problem...If it was, the Remove Tool would not work in beta version 24.5 as it does perfectly now. It's in version 24.6 that it doesn't work.
I'm having the same issue with the remove tool. It seems to work correctly sometimes, other times it leaves a brown smudge. (Yesterday it worked well about 80% of the time; today it's worked about 20% of the time). I've tried reinstalling PSCC 26.4 and have also gone into Preferences to make the Image Processing "More Stable" per the suggestion, but it continues to function inconsistently.
