Hi all,
We are happy to announce the release of Photoshop version 25.2, which incorporates the resolution for this particular problem. To see the list of all fixed issues, click here
Hello - Photoshop team here. @josetphoto@Dawn26748925htc0 Thank you for letting us know about the issue you'e experiencing. We have not been able to reproduce this at HQ yet. It would help us to know more about your system and when(if) the behavior changed from good-results to the yucky smudge.
1. Could you please paste your System Info (Help > System Info... [Copy]) into a direct message to me or send to me by email? meredith. at. Adobe dot. com
2. Did the Remove Tool used to work? If so, what build did you first see the bad behavior? If possible, copy the first line from System Info that looks like this: Adobe Photoshop Version: 24.7.0 20230612.m.2205 please note if you are using or have used the Photoshop Beta.
3. What is the color mode/bit depth of your file. (Example: RGB/8 - as shown in the document name tab at the top of your image.)
4. Does it still occur if Preferences > Image Processing > Remove Tool Processing= More Stable? ( I see that does not solve the issue for @Dawn26748925htc0 )
@NellPSmageI'm not much different from you win10 ryzen5900x 2070s win10 ryzen 7900x 4080 win10 intel 13700 3080 EveryPC driver version is latest studio driver..
Should have said that this is using the latest version of 24.6 and also the latest beta version. Graphics driver is 31.0.15.3623, the latest. Windows 11 GTX 1650.
Spent another 90 minutes with support yesterday who still refuse to escalate it. What is dissapointing is that an Adobe employee started replying on this thread but has now disappeared.
This is the point that I start wondering if it might be good to reach out to industry bloggers. (It would be a different matter if A. had been forthright about this situation instead of putting the effort and responsibility on us, when there's clearly a glitch. I mean, I haven't really put 24.5 to the test, but it came up with the brush, did a simple remove, and didn't crash my program. None of those things have happened before. So they clearly did have a working version on my machine (and others).
Thanks so much, Meredith..I have to do the option of changing the preferences to more stable and quitting and reopening Photoshop and it worked...Thanks again
We have done countles driver reinstallation , different os , different pc , different updates, reset preference , setting remove tool to more stable , none of the option ever work . The only edition that is working for us is 24.5 beta , every other version is giving us an error
Hi everyone, for those of you with AMD CPUs, could you share which models are effected? AMD Ryzen 3000, 7000, etc? The team is looking into any commonality.
I've noticed that while using the removal tool in the latest version24.6.0 of Photoshop, it often produces errors. After using the removal tool, color blocks are left on the screen. This issue also exists in the beta version of Photoshop. Before this update of Photoshop and the Photoshop beta version, I didn't encounter this problem when using the remove tool in the beta version.
Has anyone else experienced the same problem? I'm hoping to find a solution.
yes as one of the person who has problem , I am using ryzen 3000s CPU .
The be more specific , both of the desktop I had have Ryzen CPU 3900x and 3950x
I have tried over 10 different version of Nvidia drivers both gaming and studio and still getting the same program error .
However in Photoshop 24.5 beta , remove tools work perfectly fine for me . Any other subsequent update and version failed to work , this including the latest Photoshop beta 24.7 and non beta 24.6.
@NellPSmageWe do know that the Remove Tool was working perfectly in Photoshop Beta 24.5 even on those using Ryzen CPUs (although it doesn't work on some Macs either). What is puzzling is why the Remove Tool does not work on the stable 24.5 version onward..
