Update: Intel released a new graphics driver 2 days ago. That seems to have helped. I have not had a crash yet, but I also have to say, that I have not tested every function of masking and object select since the new driver.

Hey, @DreamcatcherDK. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. Thanks for sharing the System info. I've located the crash reports you've submitted and linked them to the bug that the team is already investigating.

I've contacted the team to share any workaround or a fast-fix. Also, the GPU Drivers for the Intel Arc device are 7 months old. Please use Intel's Driver Assistant to ensure you're using the latest version of drivers.

Thanks!

Sameer K

I am using the latest version of all drivers. That was one of the first fixes I tried.

I'm having the same problem. I updated the latest Intel driver that was released a couple of days ago, but still it keeps crashing.

Hey, @RUWcreatiefstudio.  Welcome to the Photoshop Community. Thanks for your comment. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

I couldn't find crash reports submitted with the account you've signed in to the community with. If you see a crash dialogue, submit it with your Adobe ID. Check here for more steps: https://adobe.ly/3Wpjx0B

Has this started to happen since the recent update? Please test and confirm if the issue exists with Photoshop (Beta). You can get Photoshop (beta) from the Creative Cloud > Apps tab > Beta Apps section.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks!

Sameer K

  • @Sameer K thank for your replay. Strange you couldn't find any crash reports from me. I only have one Adobe account/ID. Or maybe it jas something to do that I signed in earlier with Google? I did sign in with my Adobe ID now. It started after the last update. Right now I can't test Photoshop Beta. Will do that tomorrow and let you know. Thank you for the help!

@Sameer K Hi! I tried it in Photoshop Beta as you suggested and it happended there as well. So maybe the problem lies with me(?) I wanted to attach my Adobe system report together with today's crashreports of Photoshop & Photoshop Beta in case you can't find them again. But I don't see a button to attach files, only photos, videos etc. I could post them here if you want?

Kind regards,

Linda

@Sameer K after some digging I found out it does have something to do with the Intel driver. Don't understand how cause I updated the drivers last week. Anyway, just wanted to let you know I found the problem.

@Sameer K latest news. The problem is fixed. Somehow something went wrong with the installation of the newest Intel update. Today I've ran the update again but this time manually and now everything works as it should. I'm sorry to have bothered you!
