I know this is a common topic on here (which should say something in itself), but I'm really at a loss for words for how borderline unusable the trackpad gestures are for Photoshop in Windows 10. I'm coming over from a MacBook Pro to a new Dell XPS 15 which has a great trackpad with Windows Precision drivers, but even basic panning and zooming are broken in Photoshop.
Pinch to zoom straight up doesn't work unless you enable "Zoom with Scroll Wheel" which isn't actually pinch to zoom but just reading the trackpad as a scroll wheel instead. Doing so then disables two finger pan, which itself is also largely broken because it only goes in a single direction (not freely in the x+y direction together). The only option for panning is to hold down space bar and then drag and drop the page with the mouse instead, which turns simple panning from a 0 click action into a 2 click + release action that's incredibly laborious and slows basic work down to a halt even once you get the rhythm down.
It's amazing to me that basic gestures like zoom and panning that I can do on any other Windows application, and which work just as intended on OS X, are simply unusable on Windows with perfectly suitable hardware. I've tried every setting, looked at every forum, and nothing works. This is simply unacceptable for any modern software, let alone one which designers rely on for their work.
