I can edit something in Photoshop, then close the program. I come back to the program either minutes later or hour later with the same result: it will launch the program but will no longer open any files and just sits there indefinitely with the welcome contents still showing (although they can no longer be interacted with) where the file content should display once opened. The mouse then shows the spinning wheel, but never loads anything. The only way to fix is to restart the computer. Even uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop, clearing files from the temp folder, and closing all adobe related tasks/services does not remedy the issue.
OS is Windows 11 with all updates to drivers from the manufacturer, the OS, and Adobe. 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD. No other Adobe programs are being used and only other open application is Chrome. Issue persists even if Photoshop is the only application open.
