Not sure why this is happening but photoshop has been crashing everytime I save a file. This seems to be an issue caused by the latest potential update? Please assist. Thank you!
I'm not seeing any submitted crash reports from you in our system. If you haven't done so already, please submit all Crash Reports along with your email address:https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/submit-crash-reports.html That will help us diagnose the crash.
Thank you for responding. It's a busy day and I'm behind my edits. I have been saving my work like every 5 mins so that when it crashes (when I save, when I use content-aware fill, when I'm in Lightroom went back to photoshop and it had crashed). I don't really have the time to trouble shoot by reading a bunch of articles. : ( I'm hoping you might have a quick fix looking at one of the error messages?
Hi @Rebecca5E3B your one screen shot says it all. You only have 135 GB of disk space left. You are most likely running out of HD space to run Photoshop. Try clearing out your disk space and checking your available Scratch Disk (Photoshop Preferences/Scratch Disk).
Thank you for the update @Rebecca5E3B we appreciate your patience.
The way the crash data is parsed means it has to go through the CR app process, we can't read that data and make any sense of it here I'm afraid, no quick fixes.
As @Axel Matt said, doing a manual resetting of prefs could work:
Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:
Restore your preferences using this manual method:
When Photoshop crashes, this is the first thing to do, try resetting your Photoshop preferences. Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (macOS) immediately after launching Photoshop. You will be prompted to delete the current settings. You can also reset preferences upon a quit if Photoshop is running by going into General Preferences>General>Reset on Quit.
(macOS only) Open the Preferences folder in the Library folder*, and drag the Adobe Photoshop CS Settings folder to the Trash.
If that doesn't fix the issue: Go to Preferences > Performance... and uncheck Multithreaded Compositing - and restart Photoshop. Still crashing? Go to Preferences > Performance... click Advanced Settings... and uncheck "GPU Compositing" - then restart Photoshop. Still crashing?
