Photoshop crashes when a doument is opened and a button on the left-hand toolbar is selected, or just hovered over. I tested this on a new, small, blank document (attached).
I have tried disabling the GPU and the PS plugins. It makes no difference.
I re-installed an older version that I know worked fine before and that crashes as well.
I have submitted a crash report to Adobe.
