Photoshop constant crashing when using remove tool

So for some days now both my beta and my release version of photoshop have started to crash constantly when i use the remove tool.

And it seems like the crashing only starts when i use the remove tool, i can do other stuff for hours in the release version, but when i use the remove tool on average 5 times it causes a crash.

In the weeks before i was able to use the remove tool and generative fill without any crashes. It's hard to say exactly which day the crashing started but i would say at most a week ago.

I have added the crash log. In the end it keeps saying:
[2023-06-12_17-58-40][13780][Error] [console] [DP] [toolModalStateChanged] Unsupported tool id: rmbr

Hi @B B Photographer Could you please confirm if switching the  Remove Tool setting  to "More Stable" in Preferences that Kevin suggested solved the issue for you?
Thank you,
Meredith

Using the current beta version 24,7 with the remove tool in "more stable" mode does seem to have improved the stability by a lot, i have been working for some hours now without a crash. I would have to try it with various images for a few days to be sure but we can talk about a noticable improvement at the very least.
