Photoshop freezes on start up

Since about two weeks my Photoshop CC (CC Abonement Enterprise, Desktop, Win 11 Pro) does not start anymore. The start-up screen freezes at 'Speicher wird bemessen...' which should be 'storage/cache is measured...' (in English).
Updated to last update via CC Desktop - still PS does not start anymore... 

Have to shut it down via Task Manager.

What could be done?

Remember to back up your settings before doing the preference reset

If that doesn't help, try using the Adobe cleaner tool
