Photoshop makes random lines while drawing using the brush.

My photoshop now makes these lines in one direction. Diagonally. Whether painting or sketching, this always happens.

My settings.

Windows 11 64bit
Table: Huion H610PROv2
Driver: GTX970
16GB of RAM

I've already installed other versions and it didn't work. I disabled Windows ink in the Huion Driver and it didn't work either.

Anyone with the same problem?

Hi @art_arthur, thanks for reaching out and sharing the screenshot — those diagonal lines definitely aren’t expected behavior.

Let’s try to rule out profile-specific or third-party interference. Please try the following:

  • Create a new user account on Windows and launch Photoshop from there to test if the issue persists.

  • Alternatively, boot into Windows Safe Mode and try drawing in Photoshop. This will help us check if background services or drivers might be conflicting.

Let us know the results — this will help determine whether it’s a system-wide issue or isolated to your current setup/profile. We’ll continue from there!

Best,

Anshul Saini

Hi @Anshul_Saini, thanks for the tips!

I followed your instructions, and the issue with Photoshop was only resolved when using Safe Mode or a different user account. However, in both of these scenarios, the Huion driver does not start — and in those cases, I don’t experience any diagonal line issues. This strongly suggests that the problem is directly related to the Huion driver.

Here’s what I’ve done so far to try to resolve the issue:

  • Installed all previous versions of Photoshop.

  • Tested my tablet in other programs such as Paint and Clip Studio Paint — it worked perfectly in both.

  • Installed older versions of the Huion driver.

  • Disabled Windows Ink for the tablet by creating a "PSUserConfig.txt" file in the Adobe folder.

  • Changed the pen tip.

Thanks for the update! Based on your findings, the issue seems to be related to Huion. Since the problem is resolved in Safe Mode (without the Huion running), it strongly suggests the Huion might not be fully compatible with the latest versions of Photoshop.

Since you’ve already tried multiple versions of Photoshop and other troubleshooting steps, I recommend reaching out to Huion for further assistance. It’s possible that the driver for the Huion H610PROv2 may not be fully optimized for the latest Photoshop versions, as this tablet was released in 2019.

Unfortunately, Adobe’s Creative Cloud currently supports versions up to 2024, and older versions like 2019 are no longer available for download due to Adobe’s policy. However, Huion might be able to confirm whether the tablet is supported in recent Photoshop versions and provide additional insights so that we can check with the Photoshop team.

Let me know what they say about this!

best,

Anshul Saini
