Problem with Adaptive B&W and third party plug-ins

I have the most recent PS 2025 edition and ACR edition. I have just come across a problem when I use the adaptive B&W profile or the Monochrome profile in ACR before I move my photo to PS.  I have found that once I move my photo into PS, my Nik Collection is grayed out as well as my Topaz Studio 2 and can no longer be used; however, if I use the Adaptive Color or any of the other profiles in ACR before moving my photos to PS, Nik Collection and Topaz Studio 2 work just fine.  For any Nik plug-in that I try and open I get a message that the command is not available.  (See 2nd photo).  My work around is just not to use the adaptive B&W or the monochrome profiles in ACR, but just use Nik Silver EFEX, but wondered what I could do if I want to use the adaptive B&W.

The reason is the image profile is Greyscale.

Once you open the image in Photoshop go to Image>Mode and select RGB Color, then the filters should work.
