PS CCDesktop update from Creative Cloud failed to install module including new Remove tool

Just this morning I did the latest PS CC update, which includes some enhancements, presumably including the new Remove Tool. The app was updated, but with an error message to the effect that one module did not get installed. It appears to be the module including the new Remove Tool.

Is there anywhere I can go from here, short of just waiting for the next update to take place?

System is Win 11, kept current automatically. PS as updated is 24.5.0. I see other changes, but not the Remove Tool. And yes, I've read the details as to where to find it.

Hi @Blueshound one thing to check is you have two GPUs conflicting - your A3000 and an integrated Intel UHD which does not meet requirements. Go here to learn how to disable the Intel card and try again. If you get the same error please attach a screenshot of it for review.

Hi;

I've followed Kevin's latest advice, re: disable the integrated graphics processor and solely select the Nvidia 3000 in the Nvidia Control Panel (not in that order).

Then rebooted the computer, opened PS CC where I see no change. It feels that I should need to re-install the last update, but I know of no way to do that. What is next step, and / or can you provide me with a new update link? The one I chose earlier was in Creative Cloud.

Hi @Blueshound go to Creative Cloud desktop app and you should have any pending updates there under the Apps tab.

1. In Creative Cloud, there are no new updates indicated. This makes sense to me, as I executed the one from earlier this morning.

2. I've also updated the Nvidia driver to the latest Studio version. Prior update was just a few days ago.

3. A sidebar issue: it appears that with the system having the Nvidia GPU only enabled, all displays elements appear larger, not typical for this 4K display. Re-enabling the Intel GPU, without disabling the Nvidia, restores all apps displays to normal. I've resisted the temptation to down scale in Settings, given the standard Windows warning against that.

4. When re-opening PS CC, it still shows the Nvidia as being the GPU of choice.

5. I've again checked the Nvidia Control Panel settings, and PS & sniffer both have the Nvidia GPU selected.

Clearly there are probably some settings here that I don't fully understand . . .

Hi @Blueshound try going to Edit>Toolbar and see if you simply need to reset the tools to see the Remove tool.

That was it! More specifically, it wasn't a reset, it was there in the list on the right, and simply took adding it into an appropriate toolbar category on the left.

I'd never had occasion to look at that menu option before.
