Spot Healing brush not straight line, Broken?

Photoshop 23.4.2

The movement of the spot healing brush is zigzag or random.

In order to test this accurately, I drew it while pressing the shift.(Straight line = Shift press and healing brushing)

Adjusting the hardness or spacing of the spot healing brush does not solve the problem.

Wacom tablet, mouse are all the same problem

The way to reproduce this is also simple. Just press the correct shift and test the straight line. Then you can see that it doesn't go as intended.

The same spot-healing brush is broken not only on the desktop but also on the laptop. I've already done a tool reset or photoshop configuration reset.

Hi @Jqqerry sorry to hear this. Testing here and it appears to be working as expected. Could be a preference reset?

Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:

Does it work correctly? 

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back. 

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Setup reset and manually cleaned, drivers are up to date. I've tried everything I know about problem solving (what you can do when there's a bug related to Adobe Photoshop) but it didn't work out, so I'm reporting it to the community.

It also occurs on laptops in Windows environments, so it seems to be a problem only with the Windows version. I haven't tested the photoshop of the Mac environment yet.

hope it will be fixed in the next update.

Thanks for the update @Jqqerry, a couple things we notice, your amount of ram for Ps should not go over 70%, yours is set to %80, we also see a few third-party plugins in your sysinfo.  Have you tried restarting without them on and if this issue persists?

@CoryShubert  Yes, already tried that.(Press Shift and Run Photoshop = pass plug in thing)
I asked my team member and he said he had the same symptoms(or bug?) in MacBook Pro 2018.

Yes. And if I'm right, I think this bug is months old. It wasn't serious, so I didn't know because I didn't test it by pressing the shift and drawing it in a straight line, but sometimes when I tried to erase the hair or the dust in a long straight line, I felt like the brush was moving randomly. (Feels like it's not moving in the direction I'm painting)

And just in case, the "spot healing brush" broken only.

Healing brush and normal brush work well.

When I tested it with an iMac with Photoshop 2021 and 2022, there is no such problem in 2021 for sure.

It's not an operating system problem.

You can see the difference right away. You can see that it's not a difference by setting, such as spicing, brush size, or hardness, but it's going randomly.

I've been through this for a while.

And I've heard the same thing from my students, so it's definitely a bug in Photoshop, not a problem with a particular computer.
