I am working on a Macbook Pro running Monterey Version 12.6. Three days ago adding text to Photoshop virtually stopped working. When I try to add a text layer the entire screen become black - can't see what I'm typing when working on it. Literally three days earlier everything was working without a problem.
1. This occurs in older documents as well as new documents.
2. I have changed preferences, turned off Native Canvas, turned off fill in type, etc. from preferences.
3. Tried to install text file mentioned over a year ago, but directions mentioned don't seem to work.
4. Grahics Processor is a Radeon Pro 445 2GB (would be strange if this suddenly became an issue 3 days ago wouldn't it?)
Attached is a screen shot of what happens when I try to do anything with text - new text layer, edit a text layer on an old document, etc.
At this point I am literally unable to work.
I see older disucssions about this problem, but nothing recent.

Do not be surprised because requirements are changing as they are rolling updates. I can not find your GPU in this list PassMark Software - Video Card Benchmarks - GPU Compute Video Cards Adobe is recommending score 2000 or above although many cards with lower score works just fine. You are in dangerous zone with 600 or below in my opinion although I do not have any proof, its just my opinion.

I had same issue starting from Photoshop 23.5 so I decided to rollback to Photoshop 23.4.2 (last version that works fine) and to *NOT* upgrade until Adobe will release a stable version. I've a Mac Studio M1 Max 32GB ram and Monterey 12.6.
