When I drag a smart object into another file it doesn't show the object only the layer

Hi All,

I can't be the only one?

I am dragging a smart object from one file to another and when I do this it moves across fine but only shows the layer and not the object - although it is clearly there as things like masks etc move over with it. I cannot show transform handles or select it, it is just a useless layer...

Anyone else?

Hi @dangreenwood5, sorry you are having issues.

There was an update today, Ps 23.3.2. could you try updating and see if the issue continues.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Just for giggles and grins try select all, leave all the grey around it. See if it is off the board. I have had that happen. Worth a shot.
