hi should i delete ps 2022 when upgrading to 2023 ps

You can, but most of us keep at least two versions if we have room so we can go back if needed (after an update).

I would not remove 2022 until you have 2023 successfully installed. Also it helps with migrating presets and preferences from previous builds. Make sure you have everything you need and it works, then uinstall 2022.
