I am trying to use the regular eyedropper tool in a 2D workspace. I have reset my essentials twice but the eyedropper tool is still the 3D Material Sampler. How do I revert it into a regular eyedropper tool?

Resetting the Essentials workspace should have fixed it, but try this:

  • Select the Move tool
  • Right-click the Move tool in the options bar (not in the Tools panel)
  • Reset all tools

Let us know if this works. If it doesn't, go to Edit > Toolbars and show a screenshot of that dialog.

If you click and hold any tool in the toolbar, you will see the other tools that share the same toolbar slot. You can then select which one you want.
