3D not working in Photoshop 22.4.3

Hi, I have tried everything to get 3d display to work and no success. I have tried the following
"If you are using Photoshop v 22.4 or 22.4.1 can you go to Preferences >Technology Previews and check "Deactivate Native Canvas" then close and restart Photoshop" and when my whole menu from 3d is grayed out. However, when its not selected I do get the menu but when I use the camera angle my image disappears.

Your help is appreciated.

Another thing to check is your color mode. Are you in RGB?

For what I do, a few years ago Photoshop 3d worked great. Issues since PS 2020 I make chages to materials only to render out exactly the same. Lighting controls are backwards and models are way dim. no longer import U3d. Cannot reinstall 2018..Never try and animate an imported model. Is this a way of forcing everyone to upgrade to the materials package?

Yes, I also noticed that with 3D. I just ran into the problem yesterday. In version 22.4.3 nothing works properly in 3D. Only display errors and the texture window always black. In PS 2018 the textures were always displayed more cleanly even without rendering. We took advantage of that and rendered a nice base once and then just multiplied the 3D bent texture over it. Yesterday the old job came back and in the current Photoshop it is not possible to get a clean texture without rendering. That was a real problem, because it was a huge timesaver. Now we have an old computer with a PS 2018 reactivated and need to finish the work there. Unbelievable, thanks Adobe.

Perhaps try resetting Photoshop preferences?

Resetting restores Photoshop's internal preferences, which are saved when Photoshop closes.

If they become corrupt then various issues can occur.

Note re macOS: The user Library folder is hidden by default.

Unexpected behavior may indicate damaged preferences. Restoring preferences to their default settings is a good idea when trying to troubleshoot unexpected behaviors in Photoshop. check out the video

You may want to backup your settings and custom presets, brushes & actions before restoring Photoshop's preferences.

Before you reset your preferences

in case of future issues, I suggest you make a copy as Adobe may need one to check problematic references. 

Quit Photoshop.
Go to Photoshop's Preferences folder

  Note for those on macOS: - be aware that the user Library folder is hidden by default on macOS.

  In the Finder, open the “Go” menu whilst holding down the Option (Alt) key.

  Library will now appear in the list - below the current user's “home” directory. ]

Now you can drag the entire Adobe Photoshop [Version] Settings folder to the desktop or somewhere safe as a back-up of your settings.

Note for those on macOS:

Preference preservation is affected by macOS permissions,

you’ll need to allow Photoshop ‘Full Disk Access’ in your Mac OS Preferences/Security and Privacy

It may even be time to reinstall Photoshop.

It’s recommended that you use the Adobe CC cleaner tool to remove all traces first.

(See above about preserving preferences though! Its worth preserving them unless they are corrupted.)

Uninstall Photoshop BUT make sure to choose the option “Yes, remove app preference”.

Once that process finishes, start the installation process and look into the “Advanced Options”. Uncheck “Import previous settings and preferences” and choose to “Remove old versions”.
