3D Screencard problem with Nvidia P6000 cards

Hi all

I just got a new workstation at work. Filled it with the latest hardware like the Nvidia P6000 cards.
So it was surprising to me that Photoshop gave me error when I wanted to do a 3D extrusion.

I have tried about everything you normally do from updates to drivers and software.

Im on Windows 10 using the latest Photoshop on the Cloud.

Hope to get some solving feedback 🙂

Wow - that is some machine. I don't think you are going to get knocked down by other users comparing similar specs.
However it will be worth pasting your system info (Photoshop - Help - System Info click on copy button and paste into forum post) to see if anyone can spot an issue in that data.

The only think that sticks out as unusual to me is the NumCLGPUs = 2. Do you have more than one card installed? Normally when we see more than one GPU it is where multiple cards are installed which is known to cause issues for Photoshop.

Troubleshoot Photoshop graphics processor (GPU) and graphics driver issues

If not that might be normal for that card and it would be great if someone else with a high spec Quadro can comment.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge of this GPU will chip in here.

Yes. Like Dave says. Photoshop is known to not like more than one GPU. Photoshop is also lightly threaded, and relies more on CPU clock speed than lots of cores and threads. I dread to think what your system must have cost! $20K or more I suspect.

Its a bit more for the machine 🙂
What a strange ting. Been using Photoshop for about 25 years and never had a problem with a graphic card even when they were almost nonexistence. So to open the version that so clearly states 2017 and all that should come with that don't work with a system that is built for one purpose. To work with Adobe cloud (mostly After effects).

I have the new MacBook Pro and opened the file there and even on the last (2013 generation) Macbook Pro and both made extrusion in a second. Im on a set right now but will go back to the office later today and will look into what Dave suggested but if anyone has anything other ideas please share.

I assume im not the only one that has or will have this problem as more will take similar systems in use.

Do you have an extronal graphic card if the answer is not please bought a Nvidia graphic card then open software?
