ACR Failing to Load

ACR is not loading. Based on information on Adobe downloaded the ACR and went through the steps. Showed to install wo issue. However, cannot open and Open tab is missing from CC Apps (See attached). PS ver 25.1

That is as expected. There is no (Open) icon for ACR in the CC Desktop App.

You cannot "Open" Adobe Camera Raw, instead you "Open" an image file in Photoshop, and if a raw file requires rendering to the Ps RGB format, it will open in ACR, before it opens in Ps.

ACR is a "Plugin" for Photoshop. Not an independent App.

You can, if you want,  'force' RGB rendered files (JPG, TIF) to go through ACR before appearing in Ps by a Camera Raw Pre

What GPU do you have? ACR now requires a supported GPU to open and run at all.

Hi, ACR requires a Direct X12 compatible GPU on windows, and a Metal compatible GPU on a Mac: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/acr-gpu-faq.html

And "Not Loading"- in what circumstances? File-type?

ACR settings to Automatically Open All supported JPEG.
