Hi All - I'm guessing it doesn't get much more basic than this but.... Yet more newbie to PS senior moments! Checked out various tutorials but still struggling with this process.
I have a background layer thats as I want.
I have various cut-out images with transparent backgrounds that I want to add as additional layers Opening a new layer (bottom right of screen) is no problem. So....
Can I convert my cut-out images directly to layers? If so how... or
How do I post my cut-out images to an existing or new blank layer?
Any advice greatly appreciated.
I recommend you use File > Place …
That way you create a Smart Object and you can transform, scale, … ir repeatedly without degrading it unnecessarily and apply filters and then keep editing those later on.
You can also use files >> scripts >> load files into stackKeep items underneath unchecked so your images don't get distorted, as this is for aligning images of different exposures.
Thank you for your responses, very helpful. Apologies for delay in responding.
