Working under deadlines, and come to find out you have gone and changed the whole behavior of the gradient tool. WHY ARE YOU MESSING THAT WAS NOT BROKEN.
I CANT USE THIS TOOL ANYMORE OR FIGURE IT OUT.
YOUD THINK "CLASSIC" MAKES IT WORK LIKE BEFORE, BUT NO MATTER WHAT GRADIENT I USE IT AUTO FILLS IT.

I found this by typing a rant about the same tool into Google, so please don't assume we all should be the planets that revolve around your sun, TheDigitalDog. I was getting around it with masks and giant airbrushes because we can't all be as smart as you, now, can we?
Remind me of rule #1 of UX again?

If you'd used Google to help with the new gradient tool, or how to use the classic version, instead of looking for a rant, that might have been more constructive.
This video describes how to use the new gradient tool in place of Lighting Effects, which we lost as part of the 3D tools being removed, but it has a nice overview of the new tool
